A lot of people take a contract out to cover them for problems in the home and this can cost up-to £300 - £400 pounds a year. It beats me why people would pay this much on top of their home insurance? At the end of the day, how many problems are you going to have in a year? Would it not just be as cheap to call a local plumber when you do have a problem?
I dont know, but maybe its down to the reputation of the company and its worth paying over the odds for the assurance?
